Meryl Streep, wearing a pair of his whimsical "Howling Coyote" earrings, appeared on the covers of Life Magazine and Ladies Home Journal. Super models show off his designs on the covers of Elle and other high fashion magazines.

Of his work Richard says, "I am proud to be part of a movement in jewelry design today that is producing work with a distinctly American style and feeling." Each piece is personally signed or marked with his hallmark, a triangle. "The universal symbol of change, it represents the sources of my artistic inspiration: my love of nature, wildlife and the outdoors, my roots in the American West, and the stories of the American peoples."
